Part C: Review of UPC art exhabition

For my review, I went to the UPC art exhibition, as I entered I was some very good paintings of fruit, the captured my attention as I walked in, the was some clear examples of what talent the students that created them have, my personal favourite was the painting of the fruit that had fallen over in a bucket.

I like this piece because, of how well the formal elements, colour. tone and form  has been used; it is a very attractive, vibrant  piece. There where lots of other wonderfull paintings as well, such as the ones you can see below.

I then went on too look at some really good prints, they were all lovely and made very effectively.

From this I then looked at some really made sculptors of pumpkins and animals like octopus which was a personal favourite of mine.

I then looked at some batik self portraits which were wonderful, vibrant and eye catching, with a fantastic use of contrasting colours.

Over all all the work on display was wonderful and showed of the students talent amazingly, the only criticisms I have that there was not a lot of work on display and it didn't feel like an exhibition, it felt like I was looking at people work that just been put on a teachers display board, this could of been due to the venue, as it was very cramped and dark evnviroment as one area of the university is glass and it was night time when the exhabition opened. It would have been nice to of had the fell of an an exhibition. In addition to board with the work on, where every closely places together, I kept finding my self weaving in-between people and could appreciate the work as much.
